What makes you passionate about healthcare in Hinton/what drew you to serve on the board?
I have dedicated nearly a decade to working in healthcare, and my passion for supporting patients continues to grow. Providing compassionate, high-quality care is at the core of everything I do. Even with the current physician shortage, I remain committed to helping individuals in our community access the care they need by maximizing all available local resources.
With extensive experience managing clinics and working closely with physicians, I understand the operational, clinical, and organizational needs required to deliver exceptional primary care. This background has strengthened my ability to support both patients and providers while ensuring the clinic I am currently working with runs effectively and efficiently.
Primary care is essential to a healthy community, and I am deeply committed to strengthening and rebuilding the healthcare system in Hinton. Becoming more involved was an important step for me, allowing me to actively contribute to restoring and enhancing the level of care our community deserves. I am proud to play a role in this work and will continue striving to create positive, meaningful change for the people of Hinton.
What’s is your favourite thing about Hinton?
My favourite thing about Hinton is the strong sense of community. People here genuinely care about one another, and that creates an environment where collaboration, connection, and support thrive. Whether it’s through local initiatives, healthcare, or community events, Hinton consistently demonstrates resilience, kindness, and a commitment to building a better future. It’s a place where individuals come together to make a meaningful difference, and that is what I value most.
