Hinton Healthcare Who’s Who – Stacey Green, LPN-ORT
This week we are highlighting the Stacey Green, a LPN-ORT (Licensed Practical Nurse – Operating Room Technician) here in Hinton!
Stacey has worked in Hinton for 21 years, and is primarily in the Emergency Department as well as casual work in the operating room. One of the things that Stacey values about working in Hinton is the ability to utilize her full scope of practice as an LPN-ORT; “Working in a rural hospital, I use so many nursing skills”. We think that our rural practitioners are so valuable because they have such a breadth of knowledge and experience in so many aspects of their professions.
Outside of work you might find Stacey golfing or hiking, or enjoying a walk around her favourite “hidden” gem in Hinton, the Beaver Boardwalks and trail system. Despite being an avid hiker, you might be surprised to know that Stacey is afraid of heights!
Stacey wanted to be a nurse since the age of 3, and once again we are so grateful that she was able to pursue and achieve that dream and that she has chosen Hinton to call home.

Editor’s Note: One thing that has struck me through this series is that every respondent so far has wanted to work in healthcare since they were a child. That dedication to the pursuit of that dream and the lifelong commitment to healthcare is profound, and we are so lucky to have so many people who have worked so hard to satisfy the dreams of their childhood self.
