Hinton Healthcare Who’s Who – Dr. Elizabeth Weninger
This week we are showcasing Dr. Elizabeth Weninger, one of our fantastic doctors in Hinton.
Dr. Weninger has worked in the community for 8 years and practices at the Hinton Medical Clinic, long term care, the cancer clinic and has a Pine Valley specific clinic. She has also started offering myoActivation, a methodology used to assess and treat chronic pain and mobility impairment through a modified trigger point needling techniques and protocols – a practice she is very passionate about. We appreciate practitioners like Dr. Weninger who continue to expand the treatment options available to our community.
When asked about her favourite thing about working in Hinton, she said “I love my work colleagues and I love that I can do everything in medicine that brings me joy and that I’m passionate about!”
The variety of activities, interests and opportunities in Hinton are part of what makes Hinton feel like home; “I love the community here! There is so much going on all the time- we have an amazing art scene, there are activities for all skill levels and interests, and we have amazing nature right outside our front doors!“. That nature includes her favourite, not-so hidden gem, the Beaver Boardwalk, which is a family favourite.
When she’s not working, you’ll find Dr. Weninger spending quality time with her daughter and puppy. You might also be lucky enough to catch her on stage in on of the Break-a-leg Theatre productions!
When she was young, Dr. Weninger was inspired to be a rural family doctor, just like her own physician. Once again, we are so happy that that dream came a reality, and that you’ve made Hinton your home.
