Meet the Board – Nora Allen
How long have you served on the Hinton Healthcare Foundation Board?
I joined the board in October 2025.
What is your current position on the board, and what other positions have you held in the past?
I volunteered to serve as Communications Director.
What makes you passionate about healthcare in Hinton/what drew you to serve on the board?
In the past 3 years I’ve had two pregnancies and deliveries with a number of complications along the way. I spent a lot of time at the clinic, the hospital and the lab, as well as in the excellent care of EMS for two transfers to the NICU.
After all of my time connecting with our healthcare team in Hinton, I was searching for a way to give back and support the team that was exceptional in the care of me and my children.
What’s is your favourite thing about Hinton?
I think it is pretty magical the way that the community comes together to support initiatives. Regardless of opinions, backgrounds, politics, etc. people in Hinton show up for the community and that isn’t something you find every where.
